My Eyes Aren’t Any Use, The Distances, Second Series (from The Songs Of The Erinnyes, Sonnets, Odes, and Elegies by Jay Noya, Brigantium Press)

My Eyes Aren’t Any Use

One man’s reasons are another’s conundrum
Just as one woman’s love is another’s vile of poison
And neither logic nor good intentions
When they come into play
Have a modifying effect
On when a person dies violently
The killer has discovered the hole
To release life through
And an unmarked door acquires a time
And a place just as it acquires a name
